截至12月底，该国太阳能总装机容量达到695.55 MW，占全国发电容量的13.79%。
巴拿马2024年的总装机容量为5,045.09 MW，其中火电装机容量为2,165.97 MW（42.93%），水电装机容量为1,847.57 MW（36.62%），风电装机容量为336 MW（6.66%），其余为新部署的光伏装机容量。
所有装机容量中，4,499.04 MW（89.18%）来自国家电力系统（SIN）提供公共电力的电厂，493.72 MW（9.79%）来自与国家电力系统相连的自产电厂，还有52.33 MW（1.04%）来自独立系统。
巴拿马2024年的发电量为13147.04 GWh，其中，水电发电量占60.08%，火电厂发电量占27.07%，风电发电量占5.09%，光伏发电量占7.76%。
该国2016年的能源计划设定了到2050年可再生能源渗透率达到70%的目标。
