在日本最新一轮LTDA招标中，电池储能占中标容量的22%，比第一轮拍卖高出约25%。三家大型核电站声称获得约一半的中标容量。
作为电力市场的一部分，本次招标总共分配了1.4 GW的BESS，共有 27个项目获得了合同。其中6个项目的电池持续时间为6小时或更长，另外21个项目的电池持续时间在3到6小时之间。
BESS是超额认购最多的技术，只有20%的投标容量成功中标。
拍卖结果于4月28日公布。总的来说，日本输电系统运营商OCCTO在38个项目中以降额方式成功中标了6.3 GW，占13.6 GW投标容量的47%。
除BESS以外，本次竞标还授予了一个6小时以上抽水蓄能水电项目和两个水电项目。
拍卖前的总容量为5 GW，高于上次拍卖的4 GW。
政府最初寻求的是能够提供3 至 6小时电力的750 MW BESS和抽水蓄能水电项目，以及能够提供6小时以上电力的750 MW BESS和抽水蓄能水电项目。
由新加坡BESS项目开发商CHC公司和全球另类投资公司Stonepeak成立的合资企业在本次LTDA中获得了五个BESS项目的合同。
这两家公司的合资企业——一个专注于日本储能项目的开发、建设和运营的平台——将与OCCTO公司就这五个项目签订为期20年的电力市场合同，总容量为348 MW。
CHC公司和Stonepeak公司的合资企业此前在日本首次LTDA中获得了四个BESS项目的合同，总计131 MW。该合资企业成立于2024年5月，同月日本举行了第一次LTDA。那次拍卖分配了1.09 GW的存储容量。
CHC公司董事Ahmed Al-Awa在该平台第二次在LTDA成功中标后表示：“CHC公司期待继续在日本BESS市场的发展中发挥重要作用，并支持日本实现其能源转型目标。”
Stonepeak公司高级董事总经理蔡瑞安（Ryan Chua）表示，这一结果使该合资企业很好地定位于继续支持电网的稳定性和可靠性，同时促进日本的碳中和目标。
“我们期待着继续与CHC公司合作，进一步巩固该平台在日本储能市场的强势地位。”
