此项目大幅扩大了MET集团在匈牙利的储能投资组合。该项目加入了一个较小的4MW/8MWh示范性电池储能系统，而该系统采用的是特斯拉Megapack 2电池，并于2022年安装在同一地点。2014年，MET集团收购了法国燃气苏伊士集团（GDF Suez）75%的多数股权，成为了这家老旧燃煤燃气发电厂的大股东。自收购以来，该发电厂已转向使用可再生能源，包括太阳能光伏和电池。
MET集团表示，该大型新建设施所用的技术由华为技术有限公司提供，而匈牙利公司Forest-Vill Ltd.是该项目的主要承包商。
该公司还表示，Dunamenti发电站各单元的合并储能容量现在已足够大，可以连续四小时为整个布达佩斯的装饰和公共照明提供所需电力。
