缅甸总理敏昂莱呼吁政府各部门展开合作，增加国内太阳能电池板的生产，扩大太阳能的工业使用。
上周，兼任国家行政委员会主席和大将的敏昂莱参观了缅甸中部仰光行政区的一家太阳能电池板工厂。他的访问还包括视察该地区的其他工业设施，包括一家轮胎厂和两家钢铁厂。
在Shwe Katha 公司旗下的太阳能电池板厂参观时，敏昂莱敦促生产商们将当地生产的产品质量与进口电池板的质量进行对标。
根据缅甸信息部的一份声明，敏昂莱还强调需要在可管理和商业规模的基础上生产太阳能，以支持工厂并鼓励更广泛的采用。
“电力部需要努力通过太阳能发电，以保证家庭使用的小规模电力以及工厂使用的大规模电力的供应，”声明表示，“因此，电力部和工业部需要在太阳能电池板生产的发展方面相互合作。”
敏昂莱还呼吁国内生产用于太阳能电池板的关键原材料，并敦促官员开始在缅甸生产硅。
根据国际可再生能源署（IRENA）的数据，截至2024年底，缅甸的太阳能装机容量达到216 MW，高于2023年的181 MW。
