截至2025年6月底，英国光伏累计装机容量达到19吉瓦，上半年新增621兆瓦。尽管这一数据为英国能源安全与净零部（DESNZ）提供的初步统计，仍有待后续更新，但分析人士认为，随着更多项目并网并被纳入官方数据，今年全年新增装机容量有望突破1吉瓦。
DESNZ指出，其统计数据正在接受全面复审，旨在通过完善数据来源提高覆盖率。6月新增23,351个光伏系统，装机容量达88兆瓦，虽低于2024年6月的160兆瓦，但鉴于历史经验，这一数字在未来或将向上修正。
英国光伏装机规模正面临显著上调的前景。今年7月，开发商Quinbrook宣布旗下的Cleve Hill太阳能电站正式投运。该电站容量达373兆瓦，所发电力全部并入电网，目前为英国已建成规模最大的光伏电站。
与此同时，国家重大基础设施项目（NSIP）审批通道也推动了大型光伏项目的开发进程。2025年获得英国政府开发许可（Development Consent Order）的项目包括：180兆瓦Byers Gill电站、400兆瓦东约克郡光伏农场（East Yorkshire Solar Farm）、500兆瓦Heckington Fen项目以及138兆瓦Oaklands光伏农场，均显示出公用事业级项目储备管线持续壮大。
然而，要实现2030年45至47吉瓦的全国光伏目标，当前的部署节奏仍显不足。为推动这一进程，英国政府在其《太阳能发展路线图》中提出多项支持政策：第七轮“差价合约”分配（CfD）预计将于2025年8月启动，此外还有计划对英格兰新建住宅的能效标准进行强化，以及对规划审批与电网接入流程进行改革。
政府亦正在研究更具灵活性的部署形式，包括允许阳台和屋顶即插即用的太阳能设备，以及为停车场光伏车棚提供政策支持。
总体来看，尽管2025年上半年装机节奏略显温和，但多个大型项目的投产及政策端的积极导向，或将在未来数月为英国光伏市场注入新的增长动能。
