澳大利亚可再生能源署（ARENA）已向总部位于悉尼的太阳能技术公司 SunDrive 承诺投资 2530万澳元（约1650万美元），用于推动其铜基太阳能电池技术向商业化量产迈进。
SunDrive 的铜金属化工艺通过以铜替代传统电池片中的银，提高效率并降低生产成本，这与ARENA推动“超低成本太阳能”战略高度一致。
这笔资金通过 ARENA 的可再生能源推进计划（ARP）提供，用于将 SunDrive 位于南悉尼的研发能力扩展到 300 MW 商用级生产线。项目合作方包括光伏制造商 Maxwell Technologies 和 江苏维世达设备技术公司。

ARENA首席执行官 Darren Miller 表示，SunDrive 解决的是太阳能制造中最关键的成本驱动因素之一。
