塔斯马尼亚州国有能源公司 Hydro Tasmania 计划与大型光伏或风电项目开发商签署商业购电协议（PPA），年供电量目标达 1500GWh，并要求项目在未来 五至六年内 投运。
Hydro Tasmania 表示，正在寻求来自全州的新光伏和风电开发项目方案，以增强塔州电网供电能力。
公司商务执行总经理 Vedran Kovac 称，此次公开招标旨在激励能够与水电协同运行的新型可再生能源项目，从而满足塔州日益增长的能源需求。
“对新的光伏与风电项目的投资，将为塔斯马尼亚现有及未来的高耗能产业扩张提供支撑。”Kovac说，“满足未来能源需求的最佳方式，是风能、太阳能与水电的组合。”
他指出，塔州与维多利亚之间的高压电缆 Marinus Link 的推进，为开发商提供了信心，而购电协议是促成新项目的关键一环。“与像 Hydro Tasmania 这样具有信用保障的买方签署购电协议，是风电和光伏开发商获得融资的关键。”他说，“协议必须具备商业可行性，并符合塔州利益，但通过合作，我们可以为全州带来新的清洁电力。”
2024年，Hydro Tasmania 已与 TasRex 签署购电协议，采购后者在朗塞斯顿附近开发的 288MW Northern Midlands 光伏电站 的全部发电量。该项目投运后将成为塔州第四大电源。
公司表示，此次公开招标与塔斯马尼亚政府推动可再生能源扩张的战略一致，既可满足本地用电需求，也能为国家电力市场提供电力支持。 意向书提交截止时间为 12月5日上午10时。
