德国研究机构IWR的数据显示，德国今年十月的光伏和风力发电系统产电量达146亿千瓦时，创下新高，与去年同期相比几乎翻了一番。
IWR表示这一新纪录的背后有许多因素，例如有利的气象条件给风电场带来了更高的产电量等。风能的产量几乎比上个月翻了一番。同时光伏发电量比一年前增加了27%，达到21亿千瓦时。但与九月相比，太阳能发电却几乎下降了三分之一。
根据安装在德国太阳能系统研究所(Fraunhofer ISE)的能源图表(Energy Charts)数据，10月份风能产量为121.6亿千瓦时，而Bruno Burger的分析显示，当月光伏产电量为23.2亿千瓦时，分别相当于该月德国总发电量的26.8%和5%。10月份可再生能源电力占据了电力总需求量的44.1%。
