埃及《每日新闻》刊登的一份报道称，16家太阳能公司中的11家被列入埃及一项获准安装小规模光伏项目的名单。
获批的公司有Egyptian Solar Energy Systems Co、Gvergreen Solar、Infinity Solar、Electromatic,、Greenfox、 KarmSolar、Hammer Electric For Solar Technology、Green Tech Solutions、Solar Power、 Global Egypt 和 Smart Engineering Solutions等。目前这一埃及国家太阳能电池系统项目（Egypt-pv）方案中已有38家公司在榜。
这一方案主要针对住宅、商业和工业、酒店和公共建筑领域，由全球环境基金资助机构、联合国开发计划署和埃及工业现代化中心提供支持。
工业领域项目的开发商可以获得25%的项目成本支持，即每千瓦安装量可获250美元的补贴，封顶为150千瓦，即最高37500美元的补贴。
关于获批开发商可获得的技术支持方面，该报道援引一位项目经理Hind Farouh的话称，将在“几周内”召开一次会议，讨论项目申请及财务、技术方面的支持。
