NERPA的基本情况预测称,总发电量将从2020年的33,000兆瓦增长到2047年的168,200兆瓦左右。但燃煤和水力发电仍将分别占总发电量的36%和42%,分别为32,948兆瓦和55,836兆瓦。
到2030年,风能和太阳能在整个能源结构中所占的比例可能将从2020年的3%左右增长到23%。“2030年以后,由于新建本地煤电厂数量增加,发电量将会增大,因此太阳能和风力发电场的份额将会减少,”NERPA表示。
然而,它也承认风能和太阳能正成为最廉价的新型发电形式。“它们将在很大程度上取代常规的发电燃料,以满足未来的需求增长,”NEPRA称。“更便宜且更容易获得的可再生能源有可能大大降低电力部门对昂贵进口燃料的依赖度。”
该组织还预测,巴基斯坦太阳能发电厂的资本支出将从2020年的$530/kW下降到2030年的$371/kW。SolarPower Europe最近发布的全球前景报告还预测,到2022年巴基斯坦将部署近5吉瓦的太阳能容量。
