2023财年，印度制造商出口了10.3亿美元的太阳能电池和光伏组件。而美国占到印度在此期间光伏组件出口总额的97%，原因在于美国在限制从中国进口组件后需求增加。
在过去的18个月内，印度国内组件制造能力大幅提升也为其出口增长提供了支持。
2023财年，光伏组件占到印度光伏出口额的绝大部分，而太阳能电池仅占出口总额的0.1%。
出口需求取决于美国根据《美国通胀削减法案》限制从中国进口的举措以及美国国内组件制造单位的发展情况。
