寰泰能源股份有限公司将负责该太阳能发电厂的设计、融资、建造和运营，该发电厂将建在阿塞拜疆里海海岸线附近的加拉达格地区。该设施预计将于2027年投入运营。
阿塞拜疆能源部长Parviz Shahbazov说：“寰泰能源股份有限公司的选择突显了国际投资者对阿塞拜疆绿色能源倡议日益增长的兴趣和信心。”
拍卖结果于今年4月首次揭晓，并在目前正在阿塞拜疆首都巴库举行的第29届联合国气候变化大会上公布。
欧洲复兴开发银行（EBRD）最近为阿塞拜疆的两座总容量为760 MW的太阳能发电厂提供了融资，对此次招标进行支持。
本月早些时候，阿塞拜疆开始建设另一个204 MW的太阳能项目。
根据国际可再生能源署（IRENA）的数据，截至2023年底，阿塞拜疆已累计部署太阳能282 MW。
