SEG Solar公司在印尼爪哇岛的新光伏电池制造厂开工建设仅7个月后，就对外宣布，这家耗资4.8亿美元的制造工厂已顺利投产其第一条生产线。 SEG Solar表示，自该项目于2024年9月破土动工以来，该工厂已经完成了工厂建设、生产线调试和高效太阳能电池的初步生产。
该工厂生产的第一个产品是自主开发的n型太阳能电池，SEG Solar公司表示，该电池具有“出色的输出功率和稳定性”，平均转换效率为26.4%。
“该工厂第一条生产线的投产标志着该项目第一阶段已全面运营启动。项目第一阶段包括四条总容量为2 GW的生产线，” 该公司表示，工厂使用双面交替丝网印刷设备，每个电池的平均周期时间为0.75秒，“比传统行业标准快20%”。
该项目的目的是将工厂的年产能扩大到5 GW， SEG Solar的目标是在印度尼西亚建立一个完全垂直整合的产业链，包括硅棒、晶圆、太阳能电池和组件。
SEG Solar表示，该光伏电池工厂是位于雅加达以东约390 km的巴塘（Batang）国有工业园区首批完工的太阳能项目之一。其声称，这将有助于吸引其他太阳能产业，并提高印尼在全球可再生能源产业供应链中的地位。
该公司表示：“这次的成功投产为吸引更多的光伏制造商提供了一个可复制的模式，并增强了园区的产业集群效应。”
