Engie以105亿英镑（约140亿美元）收购UK Power Networks，此举将使这家法国公用事业企业接管一家为英格兰近850万客户提供服务的配电网络运营商。香港投资集团及现任所有者长江基建（CKI）已与Engie签署买卖协议，交易需经监管批准。
UK Power Networks每年输送710亿千瓦时（71 TWh）电力，持有伦敦、英格兰东部和东南部三个配电许可。Engie将获得约19.2万公里的电网资产，其中四分之三为地下线路。公司在行业监管机构Ofgem的评估中拥有良好的运营表现。
此次收购正值英国配电网络面临与成熟可再生能源市场类似的挑战。预计到2050年英国电力需求至少翻倍，网络扩张至关重要。除基础设施投资外，UK Power Networks还在发展灵活性服务，包括试点基于人工智能的日前灵活性市场，涵盖电动汽车、热泵和电池。
UK Power Networks首席执行官Basil Scarsella表示，加入Engie意味着公司将“继续成为全球能源领导者的一部分”，在大规模投资阶段获得财务支持。“这将强化我们以最高安全、客户服务和可靠性标准服务850万客户的能力。”
Engie首席执行官Catherine MacGregor表示，收购UK Power Networks是加强公司地位的“决定性一步”，“完全符合我们成为受监管电网基础设施关键参与者的雄心，这对能源安全、电气化和系统灵活性至关重要。”
英国电力配电行业受监管，网络运营商的收入与回报由Ofgem确定。截至2025年3月底，UK Power Networks的监管资产价值（RAV）为92亿英镑，预计到2028年3月将增至105亿英镑。
Engie计划通过约50亿欧元债务和混合融资，以及到2028年40亿欧元资产处置计划筹资，并通过加速簿记方式筹集最多30亿欧元股权。公司预计收购及资产出售后，2026年底集团资本规模将达170亿至190亿欧元，净金融债务增加130亿至150亿欧元。
