该光伏系统在De Gerlien van Tiem船厂完成组件安装,并在不到两周的时间内完成了调试。该项目的合作伙伴包括Blommaert Aluminium和Van Tiem Electro。这艘“蓝色马林鱼”号货船是新造船,而Wattlab表示对类似规模的货船进行光伏系统改造的停机时间不会超过一周。
在最佳条件下,该光伏阵列可提供高达35 kW的电力,并完全集成到这艘135米长货船的推进系统中。它与四台柴油发电机协同工作,为电动驱动系统提供动力。
在能源供应充足时段,太阳能发电与电池储能的整合减少了额外启动发电机的需求。Wattlab表示,自动化能源管理在提高效率的同时,降低了燃油消耗。
Wattlab联合创始人David Kester表示:“当这艘船轻载且顺流而行时,我们预计它甚至可以仅靠太阳能运行一段时间。”
这艘货船由钢铁制造商Salzgitter和德国综合物流集团HGK Shipping联合设计而成,主要用于在德国西北部的运河网络上运输钢铁和散装货物,往返于萨尔茨吉特和腓特烈斯费尔德之间。这艘船的最大载重量为3110吨。
