菲律宾Citicore Renewable Energy Corp.（CREC）与菲律宾安泰银行（Security Bank Corp.）及其投资子公司签署了一笔总额达44亿比索（折合77.5亿美元）的项目融资贷款，用于支持在吕宋岛圣芭芭拉建设的125兆瓦光伏项目。
该项目名为“Citicore Solar Pangasinan”，已获菲律宾能源部（DOE）颁发的国家重点能源项目证书（CEPNS），要求在今年年底前完工。
CREC还在圣芭芭拉推进另外两个项目：一座在建的“Citicore Solar Pangasinan 2”光伏电站，以及一座处于早期开发阶段的风电项目。这三项工程均在2023年菲律宾第二轮可再生能源拍卖中中标，并已签署为期20年的购电协议。
CREC的目标是在未来五年内实现5吉瓦项目投运。今年6月，印尼国有能源公司Pertamina的子公司Pertamina NRE收购了CREC 20%的股权。
菲律宾首个兆瓦级漂浮式光伏电站已于本月初建成投运。与此同时，德国光伏公司ib vogt也在该国南部开发一座99兆瓦光伏项目。
根据国际可再生能源署（IRENA）的数据，截至2024年底，菲律宾光伏累计装机容量已超过2.9吉瓦。
