欧洲太阳能行业组织SolarPower Europe暂停了今年5月针对中国逆变器和电池制造商华为启动的除名程序。 当时，该协会表示，此举是由于欧盟委员会决定限制与包含华为成员的行业团体的会议。
SolarPower Europe称，华为并未被正式除名，但已同意限制参与协会的部分活动。 该协会发言人向《光伏杂志》表示：“华为承诺不再积极参与SolarPower Europe的各项活动，以确保协会能不受限制地与欧盟机构及其他利益相关方沟通，并顺利开展工作。这包括不参与SolarPower Europe的各类工作组或游说委员会。”
欧盟委员会此前因对华为的腐败调查，决定切断与代表华为利益的行业组织的联系。 该协会发言人表示：“SolarPower Europe始终致力于在各项活动中坚持最高道德标准。我们坚决谴责任何形式的贿赂和腐败行为，这一点也明确写入了协会章程。”
华为此前多次否认任何不当行为，并表示公司始终坚持“对贿赂与腐败零容忍”的原则。
