韩国农业、食品和农村事务部宣布，计划推出立法，为农业光伏项目提供法律基础。 农业部长宋美玲（Song Mi-ryung）本周与农民及太阳能企业代表会面，讨论相关立法方案。她表示，该法案预计将在今年内起草，并于明年上半年正式颁布。
会议在清州市梧仓邑（Ochang-eup）的一处农业光伏示范基地举行，白菜作物在太阳能板下方生长。
本月早些时候，农业部在其官网表示，新的农业光伏法规将防止项目过度开发，保障粮食安全，并确保利润回馈居民、社区和农民。新法将基于农村空间规划，明确适合部署光伏的农业用地。
该声明回应了部分媒体对未来项目的担忧。农业部补充称，由于农业光伏仍处于试点阶段，媒体应避免推测性报道。
农业部早在2024年4月已首次提出农业光伏战略，计划将闲置农地许可期限从8年延长至23年。
今年早些时候，研究人员预测，到2030至2035年间，太阳能将成为韩国最具成本竞争力的能源形式。
