日本投资控股公司软银集团(SoftBank Group)正在测试一种新型蜂窝通信基站,该基站可从太阳能和风能中获取相当一部分电力。
该试点系统安装在千叶县市原市的一处设施内,利用人工智能(AI)动态管理基站的“休眠”模式,在通信流量较低时降低能耗,同时保持服务质量。
该装置结合了常规太阳能组件和一台3千瓦透镜式风力发电机。该风机配备扩散器,可高效收集并加速气流,即使在约3米/秒的低风速条件下也能实现较高的发电输出。软银表示,该系统设计紧凑,适合部署在偏远岛屿和山区等地区。
系统产生的电力存储在电池中,在发电不足时为基站供电。如果电池电量低于预设阈值,基站将自动切换至商业电网,以确保不间断运行。
软银在声明中表示:“通过AI分析人流和通信流量,我们在保持通信质量的前提下评估目标小区。基站的休眠控制基于这样一个前提:目标小区的流量可由周边基站承载,而不会造成拥塞。”
此前,基站在休眠模式下保持稳定服务,通常要求周边基站位于同一建筑并朝向相同方向,对目标小区的选择条件较为严格。软银称,AI分析如今可在不影响通信质量的情况下,扩大可选择的小区范围,预计将休眠模式目标小区数量从约1.4万个提升至约2.4万个。
软银计划在未来几个月内扩大对风能与太阳能供电基站的测试范围。
该公司近期还宣布启动一项为期四年的新项目,聚焦于高能量密度电池技术和高效率太阳能电池,用于长续航高空平台站(HAPS)飞行器。
