塔塔集团全球电池业务Agratas已完成其位于印度萨南德的电池制造工厂钢结构施工，标志着该项目向具备运营条件迈出了关键一步。公司预计将于2027年开始投产。
该项目一期设计年产能为20吉瓦时。投运后，该工厂将生产面向电动汽车和储能应用的先进电池电芯。
Agratas制造运营副总裁迪帕克·卡雷（Deepak Khare）表示，完成钢结构施工是公司向实现运营就绪推进过程中的一个重要节点。当前公司的重点是建设系统、流程和能力，以向全球市场供应“印度制造”的电池，同时培养一支熟练劳动力队伍，支撑安全且高质量的生产。
该钢结构总长700米、宽150米，最高高度达34米，总建筑面积为10.5万平方米。主体结构共使用钢材逾2.4万吨，相关配套建筑也在同步推进建设。在施工高峰期，现场同时有超过2500名熟练工人作业。
该项目由Tata Projects Ltd.负责实施，并与Tata Consulting Engineers及多家钢结构承包商协作推进。
