澳大利亚在八月份总计部署了8017个新增小型光伏系统，昆士兰州引领群雄，完成了2421套设施。该州8月新增商业光伏系统也排名第一，完成了153个新项目。
在新增量全国排名中，昆士兰州有四个城市位列前十。而人口最多的新南威尔士州只有一个城市进入前十。
澳大利亚全国8月份共完成了432个商业规模。在该月所有新安装的小型太阳能电池阵列中，只有136个带有电池储存应用。
据国际可再生能源机构（IRENA）的统计数据，至2016年底，澳大利亚大、小型设施在内的总光伏装机容量为5.2 GW。
