脸书与犹他州、俄亥俄州、伊利诺斯州、田纳西州和爱尔兰的多个项目签订合同购买806兆瓦的太阳能和风能。这些合同将支持脸书实现在今年底达成100%可再生能源供能的目标。
这些项目分布在不同地区，属于许多不同开发商。脸书与Brookfield Renewable Partners, D.E.，Shaw Renewable Investments和 Apex Clean Energy签订了合同。
截止目前，脸书确定了超过5吉瓦的可再生能源交易，还有2吉瓦尚在进行中。脸书期望其余的1.5GW风能与太阳能在今年底上线。 脸书在美国投资了许多著名的太阳能项目。在新墨西哥，它通过两个项目的100MW容量支持洛斯卢纳斯数据中心的运营。它也与Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) 就两个太阳能项目达成合作，总装机量达377MW，用于支持其在阿拉巴马州亨茨维尔的数据中心。 11月份，脸书宣布截止当时已经开展的最大太阳能项目中的两个，即位于德克萨斯州安德鲁斯县的300MW Prospero太阳能项目以及位于犹他州艾昂县的122兆瓦Cove Mountain 2太阳能项目。两个项目预计都将于今年竣工。 脸书也将从田纳西州最大的太阳能项目之一购买能源，即位于厄普顿县的497兆瓦Roadrunner太阳能项目。
