波兰可再生能源组织（IEO）的数据表明，波兰光伏市场预计将在近十年内强劲增长，并在2030年底达到30 GW装机容量。
专家们还预计，尽管分布式发电市场即将出现收缩，该国累计发电容量仍将从目前约6.3 GW的水平增长到明年年底的10 GW。
2021年，小型住宅光伏系统将占到2 GW左右的新增部署容量。但IEO分析师解释说，今年的增长主要是由于年底临近，因为现行的净计量电价规则和激励措施将在12月底截止。他们表示：“从2022年开始，产消者市场可能开始饱和，此后每年将稳定发展，年均增幅不会超过一吉瓦。”
公用事业规模太阳能细分领域将保持波兰太阳能行业的上行趋势。据预测，这一细分领域的发电量相当于2023到2024年之交分布式发电领域的装机容量。此外，波兰能源领域的大型消费者对工商业自发自用项目的兴趣日渐高涨，到2023年底这类项目的占比将达到10%。
IEO报告总结道：“光伏市场所面临的挑战在于，需要在所有电压水平上扩大电网规模并提高其灵活性。”
在3月份发布的上一份报告中，该组织表示，到2025年波兰光伏发电容量有望达到14.93 GW。
目前，该国正致力于通过拍卖计划和屋顶光伏激励措施支持太阳能发展。
