美国土地管理局（BLM）已批准Desert Quartzite在加利福尼亚州布莱斯附近建设一个太阳能项目。法国电力公司可再生能源北美公司（EDF Renewables North America）将负责为该项目开发300 MW太阳能外加600 MWh储能容量。
美国加州土地管理局主任Karen Mouritsen表示：“土地管理局将继续批准以负责任的方式进行选址的可再生能源项目，以推进利用公共土地生产清洁能源，并达成拜登-哈里斯政府在2050年前实现净零经济的目标。该项目将创造高薪的工会工作岗位、振兴地方经济并减少温室气体排放。”
Desert Quartzite太阳能项目计划耗资10亿美元，将为大约12万户家庭提供清洁能源。该设施预计将创造900多个施工工作岗位，并从2024年12月开始投入商业化运营。
一旦建成，该项目很可能在2024至2025年间开发的项目当中跻身美国十大公用事业规模太阳能项目之列。这些项目的总容量从300 MW至690 MW不等。
Desert Quartzite计划使用阿特斯太阳能（Canadian Solar）公司的650瓦（直流）BiHiKu7双面单晶PERC电池板、SMA 4.2 MW逆变器、Nextracker水平式单轴光伏（PV）跟踪器和150 MW/600 MWh电池系统。
