沙特阿拉伯王储Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz今日透露，沙特政府和几家身份不明的开发商就分布在沙特各地区的七个大型太阳能发电项目签署了购电协议。
他在一份声明中称：“除Sakaka和Dumat Al-Jandal项目以外，这些项目的输出容量将超过3600 MW。”并且他还补充说，其中一个项目——600 MW的Al Shuaiba光伏IP项目——将以破世界纪录的0.0104美元/千瓦时的低价出售电力。该项目是由能源部在国家可再生能源项目（NREP）的框架下进行的第二轮采购计划中选定的。
3.6 GW的发电量指通过该计划前两轮分配的累计装机容量，包括于2019年11月并网的Sakaka太阳能发电厂以及正在直接与沙特当局协商开发的1.5GW的Sudair项目。
王储透露：“沙特各地后续还将开发更多的可再生能源项目，等到时机成熟我们会宣布。”但他没有提供第二轮结果的更多详情。
第二轮采购计划最初吸引了250名竞标者。今年7月份，沙特阿拉伯可再生能源项目发展办公室（REPDO）表示已将竞标公司数量缩减至60家，其中包括28家总部位于沙特阿拉伯的公司。
