沙特电力公司Bin Omairah Holding位于沙特阿拉伯西北部Tabuk地区首府Tabuk工业区的1.2 GW太阳能组件装配厂已经投产。
“这家新工厂将生产单晶PERC组件，”公司首席执行官Fahad Bin Omairah告诉《光伏》杂志，“我们将面向海湾阿拉伯合作委员会（GCC）国家、美国、欧洲和非洲等市场。”
这家工厂将主要生产M3全电池板、M10半切电池，以及采用1/3切设计的M12组件。Bin Omairah进一步解释说，“他们的额定功率范围为320到800 W。”
新工厂总投资为7亿里亚尔（合1.869亿美元）。“这家工厂旨在促进对太阳能的投资，并实现我国能源结构的多样化，此外还能与相关政府机构和私营部门整合，以便支持创建国内可再生能源产业，”沙特阿拉伯工业和矿产资源部副部长Osama bin Abdulaziz Al-Zamil评论说。
中东太阳能产业协会主席Ahmed S. Nada告诉《光伏》杂志，“这代表了沙特投资的一个重要里程碑，表明其致力于发展太阳能产业，不仅是为了本国，也是为了周边市场。与投资未来可持续技术的《2030年愿景》相一致，这家沙特工厂也是提高本土制造内容，同时培养沙特年轻人才，积累太阳能产业制造领域专业知识的一大步。” 该工厂的生产设备由西班牙光伏设备供应商Mondragon Assembly提供。
