但Erfurt能够确定发售的地区范围是DACH——德国、奥地利和瑞士，公司看到的“理论为2 GW的太阳能瓦市场。在法国，我们看到了1.6 GW的额外市场……在看到如此大的潜力后，我们认为没必要继续计算。”

太阳能瓦市场以捉摸不定而闻名，特斯拉的太阳能屋顶就证明了这一点。2021年，特斯拉CEO马斯克承认，公司在太阳能屋顶项目中犯了“重大错误”，并承认屋顶实际上比他最初想象的要复杂得多。
Erfurt说，打开太阳能瓦市场的关键将是质量和灵活性。这意味着不能像过去那样简单地将中国产太阳能电池粘在现成的屋顶瓦片上，当然也不能犯特斯拉的错误，即把太阳能瓦屋顶变成一个完整系统。
“与特斯拉不同，我们可以在瓦片损坏或需要更换时单独更换，而不是采用一体式结构，”Erfurt说。
Meyer Burger能够做到的是采用优质的太阳能瓦技术，并结合其太阳能电池的专业知识来确保质量。
Erfurt说，“一些竞争对手的电池效率在6%-0.8%之间，而我们的太阳能瓦几乎与我们的传统组件持平。”
