Eni在一份声明中说：“随后将在同样位于Berkine盆地的Menzel-Ledjmet East项目（MLE）的生产综合体中建设另一个光伏设施，预计将于2023年动工。”
该意大利-阿尔及利亚企业联盟还为其太阳能实验室举行了落成典礼。这个新设施将收集和分析数据，来测试不同光伏技术在阿尔及利亚南部的高辐照条件下的效率。
他们透露：“太阳能实验室将向大学和其他公共机构开放，用于研究目的。”
Eni和Sonatrach在太阳能领域的合作始于2017年。Sonatrach和Sonelgaz还共同拥有Société Algérienne des Énergies Renouvelables Spa (SHAEMS)——该公司将被获准在担纲阿尔及利亚最近启动的1 GW太阳能招标的中标项目的特殊目的实体中占最多25%股份。
