工业设备制造商梅耶博格透露，其计划在6月份成为一家集成光伏组件制造商。这家瑞士科技集团表示，它将在一个月之内分别在德国比特费尔德-沃尔芬（Bitterfeld Wolfen）和弗莱堡（Freiberg）建立工厂生产异质结太阳能电池和光伏组件。
在比特费尔德-沃尔芬，该公司将以低本高效的方式长期租用曾被太阳能电池制造商Sovello占用过的建筑。而在弗莱堡，它从已破产的光伏电池板制造商SolarWorld Industries手中收购了一家工厂，且这宗交易刚刚得到了债权人的批准。
据破产管理人Christoph Niering报告，弗莱堡工厂的购买价格为1200万欧元，包括组件生产与物流中心。今后，已有的四条生产线将被改造并整合到新的生产过程中。
梅耶博格德国子公司还获得了全部知识产权，包括品牌、专利和域名。Niering说道：“梅耶博格找到了一家合格的合作伙伴，它将让弗莱堡工厂的基础设施恢复正常使用。”
梅耶博格计划每年在比特费尔德-沃尔芬生产400兆瓦的异质结太阳能电池。该公司将在弗莱堡工厂生产光伏组件，该工厂的初始产能也将达到每年400兆瓦。到2026年，弗莱堡工厂的年发电量将提高到5吉瓦。比特费尔德-沃尔芬和弗莱堡工厂计划从2021年上半年开始运营。
