土耳其太阳能组件制造商Kalyon PV宣布，已在土耳其安卡拉的新太阳能电池工厂启动制造业务。
该公司在提交给土耳其证券交易所的一份文件中表示，这座制造工厂产能为1吉瓦。声明称：“随着这项投资的实施，我们的电池年产能已达到2.1吉瓦。”
该公司目前在安卡拉还运营着另一座1.9吉瓦组件工厂，其中包括1.1吉瓦电池产能。此外，公司还分别拥有1吉瓦硅锭和硅片产能。
关于这座新制造设施的更多细节，公司并未披露。
Kalyon PV的组件工厂最初于2020年8月投运，初始产能为500兆瓦。该工厂是一个更大项目的一部分，该项目还包括在土耳其首都以南260公里的科尼亚建设一座1吉瓦太阳能电站。
这一项目由土耳其政府于2017年进行招标。由Konya Solar和Hanwha Q Cells组成的财团最初中标，但这家韩国太阳能制造商在数月后退出了该交易。
中国国有企业中国电子科技集团公司（CETC）于2019年10月取代Hanwha Q Cells，成为新的项目合作伙伴。土耳其政府则于2019年9月决定为该设施提供补贴，给予19.9亿土耳其里拉（约合5100万美元）的“超级激励”。
