Gridserve公司计划在英国各地安装100多个由光伏阵列和蓄电池提供电源的电动汽车(EV)充电站。首座充电站计划在今年下半年开工建造。
Gridserve的CEO兼创始人Toddington Harper表示，公司计划在5年内将这100多个Electric Forecourt充电站全部投入使用，所有的充电站将全部由太阳能+电池储能提供电源。
GridServe将为此建造一个新的太阳能电站，以便为这些充电站提供电力。此外它还将安装“多兆瓦”电池存储系统，以“支持EV的快速增长以及更多的可再生能源容量”，公司的目标是“使EV的充电如同在加油站加油一样便捷”。
根据该公司的一份网上声明，设置在约克(York)和赫尔城(Hull)的充电站将会在今年完工。Gridserve在约克有一个34.7兆瓦的太阳能项目和一个27兆瓦的电池储能系统，目前均在开发建设中。该公司计划在约克项目中使用双面太阳能电池板，但未表明赫尔项目将使用哪类产品。
这些充电站将接受私人车辆和车队车辆，如出租车、公共汽车等。预计大多数车辆的平均充电时间将不到30分钟。小轿车和轻型商用车的充电率将高达500千瓦。
Gridserve在今年三月初，还曾宣布将在英国部署60兆瓦的双面加跟踪项目，项目中包含两个容量分别为34.7兆瓦和25.7兆瓦的站点。
