尽管施工工程在新冠肺炎疫情期间并未停止，尤其是可再生能源工厂的施工，但新冠病毒仍继续肆虐。本周，Solara4光伏电站的多名工人感染了新型冠状病毒，这是葡萄牙目前最大的在建太阳能发电项目。
据葡萄牙阿尔加维地区阿尔科廷市市长Osvaldo dos SantosGonçalves称，对该项目安装工人进行了50次检测，共发现六例新冠病毒阳性病例。SantosGonçalves向《光伏》杂志透露，项目已部分暂停，但尚未完全停工。
Solara4项目容量为221 MW，位于Vaqueiros区附近，由来自伊比利亚边境两侧的公司和工人建造，包括Portwind Lda.、Imenergy、Iprocel和B.E.T. Green Energy。
当被问及该项目的完成情况时，阿尔科廷市市长称无法提供确切日期。“之前曾有关于其他项目的几项公告和落成典礼推迟情况，因此，我们不敢确定完工日期。”《光伏》杂志未收到工厂建设相关公司的任何回复。
最初，Solara4项目被称为欧洲规模最大且无公共补贴的项目。建成后，它将由中国制造商浚鑫科技股份有限公司生产的661,500个光伏组件组成。该项目于2017年3月开始施工。
Solara4由爱尔兰公司Welink开发，由Investec和Kommunalkredit提供资金支持。Welink的公告显示，EPC交钥匙承包商是中国建材国际工程集团有限公司（CTIEC）。Welink已与西班牙能源公司Audax达成了该项目的长期购电协议。
