作为非洲能源新政的一部分，非洲开发银行(ADB)已经批准了一项3.24亿美元的贷款，以支持两个可再生能源项目。
其中的2.65亿美元已经用于摩洛哥的两座太阳能电站——NOORM 1号和 NOORM 2号电站，总计容量约800兆瓦。项目完工后将会接入国家电网，预计能满足该国6%人口的电力需求。
这两个项目各包括一个容量在150-190兆瓦间的单独CSP电站，以及至少五时的热储功能。光伏发电容量预计在150至210兆瓦之间。
摩洛哥2030年规划是使可再生能源占比达到52%，其中20%为太阳能。
ADB所支持的另一个项目是科特迪瓦的一个44兆瓦水电站，贷款金额为5900万美元。
