2017年土耳其全年光伏新增装机容量达1.79GW，创下新记录。《光伏杂志》与土耳其光伏设备进口和分销商、 CSUN 光伏组装厂的股东之一Endepo Global公司的CEO Egemen Seymen进行了探讨，并列出了该国光伏组件市场的排行榜。
排名第一的是First Solar，销售量为350MW，晶科太阳能和韩华 Q Cells分列第二和第三。之后是CSUN (100 MW)、Recom (40 MW)和Talesun (10 MW)。HT Saae、Axitec、Solarfabrik和Lucent的合计销售量为20兆瓦。
土耳其光伏电站投资者的基本理念是使用中国的组件及降低能源的LCOE。但2017起，土耳其政府开始对中国光伏制造商征收反倾销税，此外还对所有进口光伏组件征收进口税（Gözetim vergisi）。反倾销税并未对市场造成较大的影响，因为投资者可以相似的价格从越南和泰国进口组件。但进口组件的增值税却几乎翻倍。
有鉴于此，一些国际性的光伏组件厂商通常会从中国、台湾或其他地方进口原料，然后利用当地公司的设备和劳力进行组件组装。而后者作为OEM，使用自己的名称和品牌转售外国制造商的产品。但这也有两个问题：其一，由于没有参照物，投资者对产品质量存疑；其二，在土耳其组装的组件比进口产品还要昂贵。
