洪都拉斯国家电力能源公司（ENEE）已向电力能源监管委员会（CREE）提交了购买1,500 MW容量和能源的国际公开招标过程的招标规则。
据能源部长Erick Tejada称，一旦CREE批准，将正式启动招标工作。
此次招标过程将首次进行反向拍卖，并对出价进行连续数轮的经济性评估。此次招标要求可再生能源和储能项目占比65%，其余35%为不可再生能源项目。
其中，800 MW 将于2028年初进行试运行，300 MW将 于2029年进行试运行，其余400 MW 将于2030年进行试运行。
“有了这些项目，我们将能够保证至少未来八年的能源供应，”Tejada说。

由财政部长Christian Duarte和能源部长Tejada率领的代表团向60家中国能源公司介绍了政府对电力行业的扶持计划。
介绍会上，政府代表团还提到了1.5 GW能源拍卖的相关信息，据洪都拉斯政府称，这场拍卖预计将吸引约15亿美元的投资，而“未来十年，能源行业需要的总投资将超过46亿美元”。
